It\u00a0marries slurpy shirataki noodles and a blizzard of greens in a wealthy soy and mirin broth. This dish is straightforward to make, kid-friendly, and restorative to eat whether or not served sizzling or chilly. Recipe and photograph by Ellen Kanner.<span id=\"more-15053\"\/><\/p>\n<h2>Korean Japchae (Shirataki Noodles with Greens)<\/h2>\n<p>Serves: 3 to 4<\/p>\n<h3>Substances<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>3 tablespoon soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoon mirin<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoon sesame oil, divided<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoon recent ginger, minced<\/li>\n<li>8 oz shirataki noodles, rinsed and drained<\/li>\n<li>3 cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>3 carrots, chopped into matchsticks<\/li>\n<li>1 pink pepper, chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 ribs celery, chopped<\/li>\n<li>3 cups napa cabbage, shredded<\/li>\n<li>1 bunch scallions, chopped nice<\/li>\n<li>8 oz shiitakes, sliced<\/li>\n<li>4 oz tofu, lower into bite-sized cubes<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon sesame seeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Directions<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Parboil shirataki in response to package deal instructions. Drain and rinse.<\/li>\n<li>In a medium bowl, whisk collectively soy, mirin, 1 tablespoon of the sesame oil and minced ginger. Add the shirataki and toss to coat. Put aside.<\/li>\n<li>Warmth a big dry skillet over medium-high warmth. Add garlic, carrots, pepper, and celery. Cook dinner, stirring for about 3 minutes or till greens begin to soften. Add one tablespoon of soy-mirin combination to taste and moisten and proceed cooking.<\/li>\n<li>Add the scallions, shiitakes, and cabbage. Cook dinner one other 3 minutes, or till greens are tender.
